The comprehensive renovation of and additions to the School of Labor and Employment Relations (LER) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign reflect the latest trends in education, and provide for dynamic interaction of its students, faculty and staff. Using Universal Design approaches, the project has two new active learning classrooms and a renovated student lounge and gathering space. A new face for the building complements its original mid-century architecture and brings additional natural light and openness into public areas.
