From the 2024 Architectural Portfolio: One-Stop Center

The goal of the One-Stop Center at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey, was to improve students’ experiences with admissions and registration. The college understood the need to reduce the frustration and anxieties in that process. The design creates a separate glass-enclosed welcome center that acts as a gateway into the more private service areas. In contrast to the original configuration, the new One-Stop Center is an open floor plan with natural light and a contemporary aesthetic. This approach has created a warm and welcoming space that offers students a respite from the more active areas of the building.
