Student dies after being beaten in bathroom of Delaware high school

16-year-old girl was a sophomore at the Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington.

A 16-year-old student has died after being attacked Thursday morning by several other students inside a high school bathroom in Wilmington, Del.

WPVI-TV reports that the attack happened at the Howard High School of Technology. Emergency personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the victim and then transported her by helicopter to a Wilmington hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The name of the girl, who was a sophomore, has not been released.

Students told reporters that the fight was over a boy, and that the girl was fighting with another girl in a bathroom when she was attacked by others..
