Student stabbed multiple times during fight at a Pennsylvania high school
A 16-year-old high school sophomore suffered serious stab wounds when a fight broke out with another student at a Coatesville, Pa., school.
The fight occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in a bathroom at Coatesville Area Senior High School, reports WPVI-TV.
The injured student, Mickey Rayner Jr., was stabbed multiple times in the neck, the arm, side and back. He underwent surgery at a local hospital, and was in stable condition, his mother said.
Chester County authorities have arrested a suspect.
Oddell Cannon, 16, of Coatesville, who was wanted on charges of attempted murder and related offenses, surrendered to police later Tuesday without incident.
