1 person is dead in shooting at Alabama college

The man fatally shot at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa was not a student, officials say.

A person was shot to death early Monday at a college in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Al.com reports that that shooting occurred between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. at Stillman College.

Tyshawn Gardner, vice president for Student Affairs, says neither the person killed nor the person of interest are students at Stillman. Investigators say one or more students are witnesses to the incident.

The victim is male, but his identity has not been disclosed. Authorities also have not disclosed what led to the shooting.

The Stillman campus has been closed Monday while investigators process the crime scene.
