One dead, two injured in shooting at Old Dominion University

A gunman opened fire Thursday at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, killing one person and wounding two others.
NBC News reports that authorities have identified the shooter as Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, 36, a man previously convicted of providing material support to ISIS. Jalloh also was killed in the attack.
The shooter opened fire at about 10:49 a.m. in Constant Hall, the university said in an emergency alert. The building houses the Strome College of Business, according to the university.
Officials said Jalloh, a former member of the Army National Guard, reportedly targeted an ROTC class.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed. Two of them are members of the university's ROTC program, WAVY-TV reports.
At 11:30 a.m., the university said the shooter had been “neutralized" and there was no longer a threat on campus. The FBI later said that a group of students intervened and subdued the gunman.
Classes were canceled on the main campus for the remainder of the day.
