Each of the Putney School's residence halls will be 13,600-square-foot buildings and will include faculty apartments and 11 student rooms.

The Putney School, an independent high school in Putney, Vt., is constructing two residence halls. 

The residence halls, which will both be 13,600 square feet, will be two-story buildings and include faculty apartments featuring three bedrooms as well as 11 student rooms, reports Vermont Business Magazine

The rooms will include a common space and a small kitchenette area with a full basement to support additional storage. 

The buildings will not use fossil fuels for heating or cooling and will feature solar water heating, photovoltaic solar panels, and cold climate heat pumps.

The project will be completed in October 2023.
