College of the Atlantic is looking to build a residential hall for about 50 students on its Bar Harbor, Maine, campus.
The residence hall will sit on the south end of the campus, reports The Bangor Daily News.
The new building will have high-energy efficiency standards and solar panels mounted on its roof. The 12,000-square-foot facility will offer double- and single-occupancy rooms, a fully outfitted community kitchen, a large common area with exposed mass-timber beams, and a covered outdoor area.
The residence hall is scheduled to be complete by fall 2023.
OPAL Architecture is the architect.
