The Flint Hills Christian School in Manhattan, Kan., is constructing a $5.7 million expansion.
The expansion to the elementary side of the school will add two new classrooms for each grade level pre-K through 6th grade, as well as a safe room that will also serve as the band and choir room, reports The Mercury.
The second phase of construction will consist of two volleyball courts, a basketball court, and a new auditorium and stage.
Further expansion of the secondary education side will enable the school to offer more elective courses and bigger classroom sizes.
The school owns more than 10 acres of land around its campus.
Enrollment is projected to be 205 for the coming year, compared with 170 kids the previous year.
Construction is expected to be completed by the 2022-23 school year.
