Delmarva Christian Schools has broken ground at its Georgetown, Delaware, campus on a $32 million expansion project to unify the school on one campus.

The Cape Gazette reports the expansion includes a 60,000-square-foot middle and high school facility, a 12,000-square-foot early learning center for pre-K programs and a renovation of the existing high school to transform it into an elementary school.

Project construction will begin in June and is expected to take about 18 months, pending weather and permits, said Justin Savini, the school’s director of advancement.

The school has raised about $28.7 million so far and is hoping to raise another $3 million to $5 million to complete the project debt-free.

The architect is BGW Architects, and the contractor is Richard Y. Johnson & Son.
