Mater Brickell Academy Charter School in Miami is a middle/high school that serves students in the urban core and represents the first public high school built in the city’s downtown in over three decades. The school is designed to be architecturally compatible with the character of the area; high rises and iconic buildings have come to define the architecture of downtown Miami. The multilevel building is composed of a linear component that runs north-south and an adjacent block that houses the parking garage, the gymnasium and cafeteria.
