From the 2025 Architectural Portfolio: Twin Lakes CTE Building
Highlights
- Designed with a pre-engineered metal structure, the facility maximizes space within budget constraints.
- It focuses on hands-on training in manufacturing skills like CAD/CAM, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming.
The Twin Lakes School Corporation in Monticello, Indiana, identified a need to upgrade its high school career and technical education (CTE) program facilities and consolidate all students in one building. The facility promotes hands-on learning for new manufacturing jobs that require high-level technical skills, such as CAD/CAM, pneumatics, hydraulics, engineering, production technology and programming computer numerical control equipment. The final exterior design has a pre-engineered metal building structure that maximizes the building area within the project’s budget parameters.
