From the 2021 Architectural Portfolio: Chapel Hill High School Addition and Renovation

The Chapel Hill High School Addition and Renovation was recognized in the renovation/modernization category in the American School & University's 2021 Architectural Portfolio.

The modernization of Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, N.C., involved the demolition of two classroom buildings, the construction of two connector buildings between remaining buildings, and the creation of a large courtyard for outdoor learning. Designed to promote an interactive learning environment, classrooms are strategically situated adjacent to extended learning areas, which serve as collaboration and breakout space.
