Construction worker killed at private school in Maryland

27-year-old man was struck by a portable building being moved into place at The Heights School in Potomac, Md.

A construction worker was killed after being struck by a portable building that was being moved by crews outside a private school in Potomac, Md.

WTOP-TV reports that Thomas Moran Jr., 27, died from injuries he sustained at The Heights School.

Montgomery County Police say Moran was working outside the school moving a portable building. During the move, the building struck Moran.

He died on the scene.

The Heights School is a private boys school for grades three to 12.
