A school resource officer in the Kansas City (Kan.) school district has been charged with three felony counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
The Kansas City Star reports that Michael Eugene English Sr. has been accused of lewd fondling or touching three victims, all of whom are older than 14 but younger than 16.
English was a security guard with the school system before joining the district's independent police unit in 2015.
Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree says parent tip received by Kansas City, Kan., Police Department prompted the investigation,
English is on paid administrative leave.
Dupree says whether the alleged crimes occurred in a school setting remains under investigation. He declined to disclose which schools English was assigned to in the district.
Several search warrants executed last month at three schools in the district were related to the investigation, Dupree says.
