Villa Maria College in Buffalo, N.Y., has begun renovating its 61-year-old dining hall.

The $1 million project will modernize the hall, which was built in 1961, the college says in a news release. It will be renamed Russell J. Salvatore Commons.

The commons will have more than 10,000 square feet of space, including study booths, a video game area, seating options for small and large groups, and a Spirit Shop.

The renovation is set to be complete later this year.
