May 4, 2022
The Russell J. Salvatore Commons at Villa Maria College will have over 10,000 square feet of space to eat, study, and socialize.

Villa Maria College in Buffalo, N.Y., has begun renovating its 61-year-old dining hall.

The $1 million project will modernize the hall, which was built in 1961, the college says in a news release. It will be renamed Russell J. Salvatore Commons.

The commons will have more than 10,000 square feet of space, including study booths, a video game area, seating options for small and large groups, and a Spirit Shop.

The renovation is set to be complete later this year.
