Wareham Elementary School, a new campus in Wareham Mass., is set to welcome students in October — months ahead of schedule.
The 159,100-square-foot school was initially set to open to students in January 2022, reports Wareham Week.
The new school will replace the existing Minot Forest and Decas elementary schools and will provide classroom space for all Wareham students from pre-K through fourth grade.
Sitting on more than 20 acres, students will have access to multiple outdoor play areas.
The school’s ventilation system is designed so that each room vents directly outside, rather than into a shared system that moves air throughout the whole building.
Mount Vernon Group is the architect.
