Michigan law school goes green

Environmentally friendly facility is being built at Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills

When students walk into the Thomas M. Cooley Law School's new campus in Auburn Hills, Mich., they tread over carpeting backed with recycled tires. And when the building addition under construction is complete next year, they will see other green features: a seeded roof that insulates, a permeable parking lot that soaks up rainwater and energy-efficient lights on timers.
