From Crain’s Cleveland Business: Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, will demolish a group of apartment buildings that officials say have reached the end of their life cycle. Two of the buildings in the Allerton Apartment complex were demolished in 2006, and the nine remaining buildings, which contain 164 apartments, will close by 2015. The complex generally housed upper-class students and those with families. The demolition of the first five buildings is slated for the summer of 2012.
