Phase 2 of the expansion of NeoCity Academy High School in Kissimmee, Florida, enhances the state’s first net-zero-energy public school. Originally conceived as a middle school, the campus evolved to serve a growing STEM high school population. The project creates immersive spaces filled with natural light and advanced infrastructure. Breakout zones, writable surfaces and open corridors foster spontaneous learning and collaboration. The expansion continues the school’s net-zero legacy with photovoltaic canopies, a roof prepared for a photovoltaic array, and a tightly sealed envelope.
