From the 2024 Architectural Portfolio: West Ashley Center for Advanced Studies

The West Ashley Center for Advanced Studies was designed to address the critical educational needs of the community through a partnership between local industry and the Charleston County (South Carolina) School District. The design supports differentiated learning with multimedia digital spaces, maker labs, and immersive “learningscapes.” The construction used sustainable materials and advanced mechanical systems to provide an efficient and adaptable learning environment. The facility exemplifies a modern approach to vocational education, fostering essential skills for the future workforce while serving as a community landmark.
