From the 2023 Architectural Portfolio: Spruce Elementary School

Jan. 12, 2024
The project received a Citation in the Elementary Schools category for its exemplary design.

Spruce Elementary School in Lynnwood, Washington, was designed with a focus on connecting students to nature while ensuring a safe and adaptable learning environment. The second-floor library serves as a secure and inviting haven that encourages reading and provides a covered student entry below. With its west-facing wall of windows, the library illuminates the school like a welcoming beacon for students and the community. The result is a modern and secure school that fosters inspiration and readily accommodates the growing student enrollment.
