Seventh-grade student dies after overdosing on fentanyl at Hartford, Conn., school

Police believe a student brought the drugs to the school; no arrests have been made.

A seventh-grade student at Sports and Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford, Conn., has died after overdosing on fentanyl. 

The boy died Saturday around 5:35 p.m., police said in a news release.

Hartford firefighters found the13-year-old boy unconscious at the school Thursday morning, reports WFSB News

Two other seventh-graders at the school were believed to be exposed to the drug and were taken to a hospital, officials said. One was treated and released, and the other was in good condition.

Police are trying to determine who brought the substance to the school. No arrests have been made.
