Police in Chicago have arrested a man who attacked three students on an elementary school playground in the city's Gold Coast neighborhood.
WLS-TV reports that students were were on recess Tuesday at Ogden International Elementary School when the man entered the school playground through an open gate and accosted the children.
The man, 46, was arrested after security guards at the school detained him. The students were not seriously injured, according to school officials.
Ogden's Gold Coast campus has students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Principal Michael Beyer said in a letter to parents that the school will now keep the gates to the playground closed during school hours and station at least one employee by the gates during student recess.
The campus has students up to the 5th grade.
"My son was pushed to the ground, and the nurse called my wife and said that everything was OK, but you should know what happened," says Bob Stroud, whose son was one of those attacked.
