19-year-old student stabbed to death outside University of Buffalo residence hall
A 19-year-old student at SUNY Buffalo State in Buffalo, N.Y., was fatally stabbed Friday night outside a residence hall at the University at Buffalo.
The Buffalo News reports that Tyler Lewis of Baldwin, N.Y., was stabbed in the chest during a fight near the Richmond Quad on the University of Buffalo’s North Campus. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
University police said they had identified a "person of interest" in the stabbing: a man who had suffered "substantial" wounds to his face, including a diagonal cut across his forehead and multiple cuts on his face.
Buffalo State said Lewis was a sophomore majoring in pre-business administration.
