Three people were shot and wounded Friday night outside a high school football game in Newburgh, N.Y.

The Albany Times-Union reports that the shooting occurred in the parking lot of Newburgh Free Academy's main campus while spectators exited the game. The victim’s injuries were described as not life-threatening.

About 2,000 people were at the football game between Newburgh Free Academy and Warwick Valley High School, according to police.

Shots were fired after a fight broke out in one of the school's north parking lots. Officers heard at least five gunshots about 10 minutes after the game ended.

The victims were all city of Newburgh residents, but not students, according to police.

A 19-year-old woman who was shot in her thigh, a 43-year-old woman was shot in her foot, and a 21-year-old man was shot in his ankle.
