A high school student in Georgia was injured Tuesday in a stabbing on campus
The student at Alexander High School in Douglasville, Ga., was taken to a hospital for treatment of a puncture wound, Fox 5 reports. His condition has not been disclosed.
The suspect in the stabbing is believed to be another student; he fled from the campus and was not in custody as of Tuesday afternoon. Update: The suspect turned himself into authorities Tuesday night.
The stabbing occurred at about 8:30 a.m., near the school's cafeteria.
