The top-ranked community colleges in the United States in 2018, as determined by the Wallet Hub website

Arkansas State University-Mountain Home is the nation's highest-rated community college for 2018, an analysis by the WalletHub website has concluded.

The personal-finance website gathered data from 715 community colleges and assessed the institutions' performance in three key areas: cost and financing, education outcomes, and career outcomes.

Analysts examined 17 indicators of cost and quality, such as the cost of in-state tuition and fees, student-faculty ratio and graduation rates.

"Students who earn their general-education credits at a community college before transferring to an in-state public four-year university can potentially save a lot of money," WalletHub says.

Arkansas State University-Mountain Home scored the highest for 2018, with 66.13 out of 100.
