Sumner County (Tenn.) board approves construction of $37.2 million middle school

The new 125,000-square-foot Liberty Creek Middle School will be built in Gallatin on the same campus as a high school and elementary school.

The Sumner County (Tenn.) school board has approved construction of a $37.2 million middle school. 

The 125,000-square-foot Liberty Creek Middle School will be similar in design and size to the district's Knox Doss Middle School, reports The Hendersonville Standard

The middle school will be built on a campus in Gallatin that already is home to a high school and elementary school set to open this summer.

Funds for the project come from a $52.2 million bond issue voters approved in March 2021.

The school is set to be completed in August 2024. 

Robert Biscan & Company is the construction manager andKatz, Binkley, Jones & Morris is the architect.
