Peoria High School in Peoria, Ill., will add a visual and digital production space to its campus.
The Peoria district has received $1.5 million in state funding to carry out the project, reports WHOI.
The studio will be built inside existing space at the high school.
“P-Media” studio will broaden access to core content areas like graphic design, photography, music and podcast production, and 2-D and 3-D digital design, reports WCBU.
The space will have a graphic design studio, a photography center, a digital design lab and a music studio.
Construction is expected to start later this year.
