The $51 million facility is being designed to accommodate about 1,500 students.

Baker College, based in Flint, Mich., has announced its new metro Detroit campus will be built in downtown Royal Oak.

The college says in a news release that the $51 million Baker College Royal Oak campus will have 86,000 square feet in a seven-story facility. The campus is expected to accommodate about 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students.

Students are scheduled to arrive on campus for the start of the 2022 academic year.
