Edward J. Ray Hall at Oregon State University–Cascades demonstrates how sustainable design can support both campus growth and the academic mission. The 50,000-square-foot building combines mass timber construction, flexible classrooms and laboratories, daylighting, photovoltaic capacity, and a geothermal heating and cooling system on a reclaimed former pumice mine.
