The University of North Florida in Jacksonville has broken ground on 30° North, an apartment complex for students.

The university says the apartments are set to open in fall 2027 on land owned by the school and leased to an affiliate of Chance Partners, a real estate development company.

“Today marks an exciting milestone in UNF’s continued commitment to growth, innovation and student success,” said University President Moez Limayem.

The four-building apartment complex will have 237 fully furnished units in single, double, triple and quad layouts accommodating a total of 702 beds. Each unit includes a full kitchen with granite countertop, bed(s), bath, desk, couch, coffee table and TV.

Amenities include a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, dog park and dog spa, putting green, pickleball and volleyball courts, nature jogging and walking path, fire pit and bike-sharing program.

The builder is Fansler Construction.

This will be the second new student housing complex that the University of North Florida has undertaken over the last two years. Osprey Ridge residence hall opened in July, providing housing for over 500 students.
