University of Wyoming plans to build two residence halls on Laramie campus

Nov. 22, 2022
The two residence halls will accommodate about 900 students and replace outdated student housing.

The University of Wyoming is constructing two student housing facilities on its Laramie campus.

The first phase of the residence hall projects will cost about $171 million, the university says in a news release.

The first facility will accommodate about 434 students and have dining facilities for 850 students. The second residence hall accommodate about 466 students.

The residence halls will have typical double and single rooms, two-bed semi-suites and four-bed semi-suites. The new structures will replace outdated residence halls along Grand Avenue.

Funding for the residence hall project comes from bonds issued by the university with the approval of the Wyoming Legislature.

The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2025.

JE Dunn Construction is the builder.
