Voters in Chilmark, Mass., have approved spending $950,000 to improve the HVAC system at Chilmark School.
The Martha's Vineyard Times reports that the money will enable the school to replace a failing heating and cooling system at the K-5 school.
Under a shared-cost agreement, the towns of Aquinnah and West Tisbury would be responsible for repaying roughly 20% of the debt incurred to pay for the upgrade, The Vineyard Gazette reports.
Both towns also must vote in favor of the arrangement for Chilmark’s vote to take effect.
