New Jersey eases job qualifications for school superintendents

Non-educators will be eligible for top jobs in some districts

From The Newark Star-Ledger: The New Jersey Board of Education has decided that more than 50 districts with failing schools will be allowed to hire non-educators as superintendents. The relaxed requirements are part of a pilot program for districts with schools that fail to meet federal standards for student achievement.
