Ruling says police did not have authority to search students' room at Boston College

Massachusetts court says drugs confiscated in search cannot be used as evidence against the students

From The Boston Globe: The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has ruled that drugs allegedly found in the residence hall room of two Boston College students in 2007 cannot be used as evidence in their trial. The ruling overturned a decision by the Massachusetts Appeals Court, which found in December 2009 that police had acted within their rights when they searched the room.
