Oregon district plans new middle school

Construction starts this summer on $28.2 million facility.

The Hillsboro (Ore.) School District is starting construction this summer on a 1,000-student, 152,400 square-foot middle school. The $28.2 million facility will be two stories tall and house eight learning clusters of 125 students each. Completion is scheduled for summer 2009. The architect is Mahlum Architects.
