$61.5 million bond proposal in Lancaster (Ohio) district

Voters asked to provide local share for building 5 elementary schools

From The Lancaster Eagle-Gazette: The Lancaster (Ohio) school board will ask voters in November to approve a $61.5 million bond issue to cover the local share for construction of five elementary schools. The Ohio School Facilities Commission would pay the remaining $28 million. The district's master plan that calls for five new elementary schools -- one for students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and four for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
