Dallastown district school would accommodate up to 1,800 students.

The Dallastown Area (Pa.) School District is planning to build an intermediate school for grades 4 to 6, but the project cost estimate has increased by $1.2 million since last July. The 309,000-square-foot school -- scheduled to open in September 2008 -- would accommodate up to 1,800 students. The project now is expected to cost $59.8 million, and the price will continue to climb if the project is delayed. The architect is Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates Architects.
