Association has 100 suggestions for legislators

So legislators in Minnesota say they want to reduce state mandates to help schools be more efficient? The Minnesota School Boards Association has 100 suggestions. Among them: Don't forbid schools to start before Labor Day. Don't fine them if they don't settle their labor contracts in a timely fashion. And don't require them to bus students to private and charter schools. The association says some of the recommendations would give districts more flexibility. Others would save money.
