For more than 90 years, American School & University has been writing about the challenges of providing and maintaining education facilities. In the last 14 months, the unprecedented challenges brought on by Covid-19 have disrupted operations at nearly every school and university campus.
To address these unprecedented challenges, the federal government has stepped up to provide never-seen-before levels of funding for education—the American Rescue Plan has earmarked billions of dollars to help schools and universities make sure their facilities are safe and healthful spaces for returning students.
AS&U has been chronicling the effects of Covid-19 on schools and universities for more than a year. Now, we want to tell the next chapter of that story: what education institutions need to do to improve their facilities in the aftermath of the pandemic and how they plan to spend federal Covid aid to achieve those goals.
So we’re asking for your help by taking part in this quick survey of educational administrators as part of our reporting on the American Rescue Plan. It will help our readers learn how schools and universities are using their federal aid to recover from the pandemic and make their facilities safer for staff and students.
Thanks for your participation.
