From the 2025 Architectural Portfolio: Richison Family Stadium

The project was recognized for its outstanding design in the Sports Stadiums/Athletic Facilities category.

Highlights

  • Materials and design elements complement the nearby high school, creating a cohesive campus aesthetic.
  • A perforated metal enclosure around the grandstands provides durability, airflow and natural light to the concourse area.

The new Richison Family Stadium in Tuttle, Oklahoma, renovates and expands the existing Tuttle High School stadium complex. It consists of new home and visitor grandstands, a two-story press box, home concessions and a remodeled and expanded field house. The project required careful planning to accommodate ongoing practices and football games. The field house was built adjacent to and over an existing field house, which was kept in service during the expansion. Materials blend with the nearby high school. A perforated metal enclosure around the grandstands provides a sense of permanence while letting daylight and air into the concourse.
