Duffield Hall in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, was designed to celebrate community and promote physical and mental health. The walls have a series of digital and physical displays that highlight the school’s history and current events. On one side is the new wellness center. It is flooded with natural light and connected to an outdoor classroom; biophilic principles help create a positive and rejuvenating environment. Opposite the wellness center is a new gymnasium. Highlighted with vibrant colors and school branding, the full-sized basketball court offers additional opportunities for recreation. Climbing ropes, retractable equipment, and gaming components transform the space into an interactive playscape.
