From the 2023 Architectural Portfolio: Rochester Prep High School

April 22, 2024
The project was recognized as an outstanding design in the Renovation/Modernization category.

Rochester Prep High School in Rochester, New York, is dedicated to empowering students from low-income communities to succeed in college. To accommodate its expanding student body, the school sought a larger facility and found an opportunity for urban revitalization in a building that originally housed a Catholic school. A modern glass entry  was built, featuring a three-story stairwell connecting the old and the new. The undesirable maze-like corridors have been replaced by a circulation system that ensures efficiency, sight lines, and security. A main circulation hallway creates a clear path throughout the campus and promotes seamless movement.
