The project was awarded the William W. Caudill Citation, the top K-12 prize in American School & University's 2021 Architectural Portfolio

James L. Capps Middle School in Warr Acres, Okla., re-envisions a neighborhood park into a new, future-ready middle school. The building proper sits on the east and west side of a bisecting creek. Connecting the two structures is an innovation hub in the form of a 250-foot bridge positioned over the creek, with media resources, computer applications, maker labs, and broadcasting studios.
