Family of student who killed himself sue California district

From The Los Angeles Times: The parents of a 15-year-old student who jumped to his death last year at Crescenta Valley High School in La Crescenta, Calif., allege in a lawsuit that Glendale Unified School District officials ignored bullying that prompted their son to take his life. Drew Ferraro died after jumping in February from a third-story building at the school in front of other students. A Los Angeles County coroner's official said subsequently that Drew did not reference bullying in any of the four suicide notes found on his body. But Drew's parents, John and Deana Ferraro, contend that bullying was a major factor in Drew's suicide. The suit says that beginning in his freshman year, Drew was bullied because of his small size, demeanor and style and harassed for his attitude toward girls.
