Ohio University launches major renovation and construction projects

Ohio University is planning to spend more $407.6 million on construction and renovation projects over the next six years. Construction has already begun this summer on several residential projects in different areas of the campus.

Historic Lindley and Tupper halls are each getting $10 million facelifts, while the university is spending another $110 million on four new residence halls.

Other major projects include work on three classroom buildings, including $32 million for renovation of and additions to McCracken Hall (education), $30 million for renovations to Seigfred Hall (arts), and $28 million for Morton Hall (math) upgrades. The university also plans to renovate Alden Library and has budgeted $33 million for updating the '60s-era building to create a more open floor plan.
