University of Michigan picks new president

Mark Schlissel is now provost at Brown University

The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor school has selected Mark Schlissel to replace Mary Sue Coleman as president. Mlive.com says that Schlissel, now the provost of Brown University in Providence, R.I., will be Michigan's14th president.
