Elementary school in Somerset, Mass., will close

The Somerset (Mass.) district has decided to close Wilbur Elementary School. The Fall River Herald News says the school committee's decision is estimated to save the town about $555,000. Wilbur was built in 1928 and this year has about 150 students enrolled. The school closing is the town's first since 1989.
